THANK YOU!! --> To everyone who voted, passed on the knowledge, engaged in the Baycrest support and learned more about Alzheimer's, dementia and mental health.
I appreciate the support beyond words, you all have made my with heart swell. You are all amazing and I will update in regards to further developments of the project! There is still the auction for fundraising and another site for exposure/showcasing come October. Thank you, thank you, thank you - you all made it happen. Managed to get up to 1434 votes (second place) and that is something to be said for a small town sculptor. Excited to see what will come next! Thank you to Todmorden Mills for housing "Petrification". Truly a beautiful site for the stone brain. It was an honour. **If you have yet to visit this historical location, please do, it is an excellent example of fine art, history, architecture and wilderness combined. Thank you to The Brain Project / Baycrest Foundation for this inspirational project driving the public's awareness regarding such an important subject matter. It was an honour to be chosen as one of the 50 artists involved in this phenomenal display of talent, love and education. I hope our relationship grows from here. Much love, kindness and compassion, Tiffany xxo

They will be on public display in one location with details to come these coming weeks! Exciting and both sad to see this project dismantled. Thank you again for all your votes, encouragement and assistance! Much love xo Tiffany and the Limestone Brain It has been an adventurous month for both Carved Anatomy and "Petrification" for the Brain Project. This past weekend I set up my organs and necklaces at Kempenfest of which was a fruitful long weekend. Lots of vendors, sights, sounds and especially the crowd. There were deep conversations of which brought light to connections by way of my work. The brain was the show pleaser - people wanted to stop and touch it, reminisce with it, enchant it, and support it. They shared stories from various walks of life. Those with previous brain injuries, family whom live with dementia an Alzheimer's, general mental health and alternative/experiential education advocates. Those who are general practitioners, neurological expertise, educators, nurses, RMTs, dieticians, mental health advocates, and interested public came to relay their connection with the brain and then the heart on display. It was a magical connection - one that will certainly drive my work. Now, I stand at just under 700 votes. It will be tricky to stay at the top of artists as there are a few gaining ground. Especially due to their incredible work and similar stories. I hope to reach the top to continue advocating, educating, learning, listening and inspiring those touched so deeply by way of mental/body health. I would be honoured to continue this work on a grander scale, be supported by the community and further the reach for this important cause. Let's work together to help Baycrest and vote for me HERE //or// www.brainproject.ca/portfolio/tiffany-folmeg. Me & my brain "Petrification" below: KEMPENFEST was overall fantastic - it inspired me make this brain pendant. It later sold the next day while being an artisan this past civic long weekend.
